Why does the tango? The tango is a couple dance who have a precise technique, which allows that this is totally improvised dance, taking its cue from the music and space, and raising so different emotions.
It’s a completes dance where each individual learns to listen and to know his body in the report, where you can play and embed their male and female without prevalence of one over the other, but rather allowing the individual to experiment with pleasure.
The tango also presents specific content that emerge in the therapeutic setting, including the importance of rooting, being focused on himself and in balance, confidence/trust to another, the experience of responsibility of caring (holding) and the ability to let go, the dynamics of socialization and competence in the management of proxemics.
Initially proposed an explanation of how to dance tango, the technical and practical basis. In a later stage we will move to the explanation of the psychological dynamics that can take place in that situation/dance and the correlations between the emotional experiences that emerge from tango and emotional experiences that move the individual in daily life.
In the third instance will be briefly outlined the concepts of Psychotherapy Body, with particular reference to Psychotherapy Biosystems.
There will then be the contribution of personal experiences of professionals in these areas. Finally is presented the practical application of the above, through the ability to work in a group of TangoTerapia, highlighting the results already done in groups, where it was possible to connect the fun of dancing with the introspective, in a common purpose psychophysical wellness.
Will be emphasized, moreover, the competences of the three conductors, both as regards the psychological aspect, which, above all, that historical-cultural context of Argentine tango, which will be a valuable contribution from Argentine dancer from Buenos Aires.
