THE INTERNATIONAL OSIMO OPERA ART ACADEMY is celebrating its 30th Anniversary during which it has worked to achieve the aims for which it was founded (1979): that of teaching young opera singers with a comprehensive academic programme under the guidance of prestigious and highly experienced teachers and helping them to enter the opera theatre world by recommending them to the directors of national and international concert and opera organisations. The Opera Art Academy then established a close collaboration with the Martina Franca Festival della Valle d’Itria whose playbills every year feature many of the Academy’s students many of whom have also enjoyed great success with many national and international theatres. Thanks to activities of this kind, the Academy has attained widespread international fame and has today become an international point of reference as a centre which safeguards Italian and European art and the opera culture: today it can rightly claim to be a Theatre University.
